The Designer + The Process

The Designer

I was born in Brazil and grew up in the city of Sorocaba, only a 90 minute drive from São Paulo, and came in the US in 2019 through the Aupair Program. After living in New York for a while, I met my husband Derek. What was supposed to be a brief experience of traveling and exploring this country, the US became my home when we decided to get married in 2021.

During the pandemic in 2020, people and small businesses were hit hard economically and I  started this business as a hobby to distract from the reality of being locked down inside of our Bushwick apartment. Luckily, the community embraced my jewelry, and the hobby slowly transformed into a full-fledged business.

A graduate in Geography,  I always aware of how important and impactful our choices are for the planet. That's why my brand is proudly part of the slow fashion movement.  Our goal is to be ethical and mindful in our creations, manufacturing, and sourcing.

The Process

I am constantly learning new techniques and experimenting in the studio. I love exploring and testing different jewelry mediums. The main material for our handmade jewelry is polymer clay. Polymer clay been growing in popularity the last few years for its versatility and long lasting properties.  With proper care and  storage, your jewelry will last indefinitely (a decade or more).

Polymer clay is fun to work with, and its explosion of colors and shapes gives me the creativity to create unique and authentic pieces.

Each piece is molded, painted, sanded, polished and assembled by hand. Our brand values quality and integrity -- each detail of every piece is carefully considered before it makes it's way into your hands.
